| STAFF – Started in 1994, Ricepaper Magazine <\/a>is a Canadian literary outfit based in Vancouver <\/a>and the longest running organization in the country dedicated to the promotion of Asian Canadian literature, culture, and arts. While it showcases Asian Canadian content and has historically dedicated its efforts to all things this, its team today recognizes itself as global citizens and is interested in Asian-themed stories not only within Canada’s borders but beyond. It seeks to connect Asian communities around the globe (and others who might also want to come along). We like that. And we’ll help. <\/span><\/p>\n And on that migration note, check out Ricepaper’s latest Talkrice travel series <\/a>below: what started out as an experiment looks like it has some promise. In the first episode, Indonesian and Malaysian tension is explored as well as the mysterious dish Nasi Lemak and the weird and sad but not unrealistic idea of “fake” western brands. Today, so many of us explore outside our borders for whatever reason or if we don’t, we come across those that do.
