| Last night I got a craving for Kraft Dinner Egg Noodles. I thought it would be simple enough to grab one from Walmart. I went in and all there was were a million other varieties except the very one I wanted. So I figured I’d just get it from the Save-On next door since they would probably have it there. They also had a million varieties except Egg Noodles. Could both these sizable grocers be out of stock of the same thing at the same time? Annoying. So I try tier 2 food vendor London Drugs which I wouldn’t expect to carry it but I thought I’d give them a try. They only had the standard kind. This first world problem was starting to get to me, but I wasn’t ready to give up for the night. I try once more at the Superstore up the street. Same million varieties, same not there.
It’s not like I eat Kraft Dinner a lot but it is one of those comfort foods. And sorry, no, spirals, shells, animal shapes, sharp cheedar mac, extra creamy mac, and original mac, your texture is different, the experience is different. We don’t eat hard cheese when we feel like melted. We don’t eat block cheese when we want sliced. Egg Noodles are in a league of their own. So I hit up Kraft with an email asking what the word is. Discontinued? When? Why? Awaiting reply. Sumthin’s up. Even when you try to search for a picture of Kraft Dinner Egg Noodles, all you get is this low resolution basically a thumbnail image. Some. Thing. Is. Up. If anyone knows the whereabouts of this side-dish (legitimate main course), please let us know.
UPDATE – So our fear is confirmed. R.I.P. Egg Noodles.

It’s great to hear from consumers who are looking for our products because it lets us know how much you enjoy them. The tough part comes when we have to share the news that the product you’re trying to find has been discontinued.
If products don’t seem to be popular with our consumers, and demand starts to drop, a decision is made to discontinue the item. Once this decision is made, we stop making the product and the remaining supply is shipped from our warehouse to the grocery stores.
At this time there are no plans to bring back our discontinued products, but we are always cooking up something new to help you live and eat better so you may discover a new favorite!
Again, thanks for contacting us, and I hope you’ll continue to enjoy our products.
Sincerely,
