Last night, the girlfriend handed me a sharp-looking pamphlet. I opened it up to learn there’s a not-for-profit charitable organization called the Canadian Art Foundation that links artists and art fans across the nation through a diverse program that includes interesting and free events like Gallery Hop.
The event is on Sat. April 11 and starts with an expert panel discussion before the guided tours that run 13:30-17:30. There’s even a party at the end running from 17:30-19:30 at the Equinox Gallery (525 Great Northern Way)!
Unfortunately, we can’t have our cake and eat it too. The tours run in pairs so be wary of what starts when and where. If you’re thinking to do Downtown and Great Northern Way, forget it unless you only want pieces of each. By the way, you need to register.
This is an amazing opportunity to learn about many of Vancouver’s galleries. A total of 41 are named in the pamphlet. Don’t miss this!
